I know how to speak Chinese phrase-不要紧. But it seems sometimes 没关系 has the same meaning. I’m wondering what is the differences between 不要紧 and 没关系?

不要紧 shows consolation and 没关系 usually responds to an apology.

When I lived in Beijing about 30 years ago, the phrase we most often used for «bus» was 公共汽车. Has this now been superseded by 公交车 ? I note that if one googles the two phrases, the former is found on more three times the number of web pages than the latter (51400000 vs 16400000)….

Dear M Henri Day,
Nice to hear from you.
“公交车” is the short way for “公共汽车.” Nowadays “公交车” is much more widely used in China than “公共汽车.” It is because that with the rapid development of city, people tend to use simple words for its convenience. And also “公交车” becomes more and more important in our daily life. So that’s why we use “公交车” more frequently than “公共汽车.” Hope this helps.
